This "members only" event was
meant as an informal welcome to several of the South African winemakers
to our city of Vancouver where they could relax with fellow wine
enthusiasts and enjoy some braai expertly cooked by our past president,
and former South African resident, Mr. Lance Berelowitz. This
was a grazing type event, with no formal tasting notes being taken.
As such we have pictures only to celebrate this occasion. Please
take a minute to either relive a wonderful memory, or to find
out what you missed. Thanks to everyone that attended and made
the winemakers feel at home.
Preparing the Food for the Braai
The
boerewors (sausages made of pork mixed with beef and a variety
of sweet spices) and sosaties (chicken kebabs) in the background
being prepared for the braai.
The Wines
The wines graciously brought by the South African winemakers!
